Microsearch Corporation has been working with NEA for the past two years developing a comprehensive salary analysis application to support their affiliates. The NEA Affiliate Salary Data Portal will debut in 2021. In addition to being a sophisticated reporting tool, it will also serve as a repository for salary data. NEA is providing this tool for no cost to their affiliates and hopes that many will find it a very useful tool for state use as well for sharing salary data with NEA.
Salary Comparison Area Tutorial
Statewide Exports Area Tutorial
Four primary areas in the application
DISTRICT SALARY DATA COMPARISON REPORTS:
This is for Teacher as well as ESP data. Once a primary district has been selected and the steps matched as desired to the comparable districts, the application will automatically generate numerous reports. For the overall comparison, it shows dollar difference, percent difference, index ratio, and rank export. It also allows customized career earnings comparisons as well as benchmark data comparisons.
STATEWIDE REPORTING:
In terms of statewide reporting, there are statewide career earnings reports, statewide benchmarks, ESP comparisons, as well as statewide summary data reports.
DIRECT DATA INPUT:
Salary data is input into the application via “copy and paste” from XLS files for schedules. Previously submitted schedules can also be duplicated and modified. ESP data input allows cell-level control of days and hour information.
USER MANAGEMENT:
NEA will assign credentials to administrative users within each affiliate, but those affiliate administrators can assign additional users to the application and manage their access level, whether it is read-only or read-and-write capabilities.
Testimonials
Kathleen Fredericks from the New York State United Teachers has been working with Microsearch during development. She says…
“I have been involved in the testing of Microsearch’s prototype that will replace the NCA system. Working with Chase has been great! I appreciate the opportunity to help in the development of this new system, which will be critical to my work. NCA would get me most of what I needed but the new system has much more flexibility, it is easy to navigate and input new information, such as additional classifications and labels. I am particularly happy with the ESP reporting capabilities. For example, comparing ESP salaries by title, switching from hourly rates to annual, required NEA to generate the report. It is great to be able to create these reports on my own.”
